It is so nice to see that we have some great young people that are still willing to do more than just play games on the TV. Way to go and keep up the good work. :) ILY

Thank you for the news on WFDYS! You are so quick to made reports... Well done! I think including our names could make your story more interesting. The President of Uganda National Association of the Deaf is myself, Ambrose Murangira while Rwanda's is Rwaka Partaint.

I will be glad to see American Youth coming to Uganda to do something before Durban! We have only 4yrs. Lets draw strategies right now... We MUST make a comprensive report come 2011! We will blame ourself if we fail to get something to be proud of between Madrid and Durban.

Please let me know.

Cheers,

Ambrose

Answer to Ricky 'Ridor' Taylor's question.
Based on my knowledge from my volunteer work at WFD conference in Vienna, Austria in 1995, 30 years old is age limit to participate in WFD Youth programs.
Ryan, Manny and Melissa, you did a great job as ambassadors for our country. Keep up good work!

These posts were simply wonderful to read! I am inspired by your writings, what you're learning and by your open minds. You are the hope for our world, showing the openness to diversity, striving to be inclusive and let everyone know they belong, and by supporting equal access to communication. You all look like you're having such a great time! Thanks for sharing your stories and photos with us here at home so we can be with you there in spirit!

Thank you for sharing a wonderful, inspiring post about your experiences at the WDF conference. It allows us to take a peak at this moment rather than waiting via snail mail. You guys surely are having a ball where you all get to learn about each other and become more aware on ways to be pro-active.

To set the record straight, people have been asking me if Ryan is my son since we share the last name. Actually, I had the opportunity to know him since he was 2 years old as an aunt. I would never forget how he carried himself with a great deal of confidence and his way of displaying assertiveness when approaching people both deaf and hearing. I am pleased to see his involvement with the WDF Youth Camp knowing he would make a great ambassador for the youth deaf community and I am proud of him to see where he is today. Kudos to you Ryan and all of you involved!
