Vote!
By advocacy | October 29, 2008
Election Day – November 4, 2008 – is approaching quickly. Soon the campaigning and debates will be over. The NAD encourages you to exercise your civil right to vote.
Here are some tips for voting:
Vote early, before Election Day, if possible. To see a summary of each state’s absentee and early voting rules, visit http://earlyvoting.net/states/abslaws.php or www.866ourvote.org/state.
Know where your polling (voting) place is, what time it opens, and what time it closes. To learn more about your voting place, visit www.getoutthevote.org or www.866ourvote.org/state.
Learn about the candidates and the issues on your voting ballot. Many voting ballots include state or local proposals, also called “propositions,” in addition to national, state, and local candidates. Take the time to know the candidates and issues that will be on your ballot before you go to your voting place. For more information about what will be on your voting ballot, visit http://vote-usa.org.
On Election Day, go to your voting place early. A record turnout of voters is expected. Make sure you include extra time in case you have to wait in line.
Bring some form of government-issued identification (ID), such as a driver’s license. Some voting places may ask for identification.
Do not wear clothes or objects supporting your candidate. Some voting places consider clothes or objects that support a candidate to be “political activity” not permitted near or in a voting place. You can cover these items with a jacket, scarf, or other clothing when you are near or in a voting place.

I already done my early voting in Northern Virginia last week. I kinda regret voting pretty early, but I never trust McCain at all. I ended up voting for Obama which I was not pretty happy about it.
