ADA Victory Press Rally

Join advocates and congressional leaders at a press rally to celebrate Congress’ passage of the “ADA Amendments Act of 2008.” The House of Representatives is expected to act on the final bill Wednesday morning and then send it to the White House for President Bush’s signature.

Date: Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Time: 1:45 p.m.

Place: West front steps of the U.S. Capitol Building (see picture at http://www.aoc.gov/cc/capitol/c_wf_1.cfm) House side.

There is accessibility and ramps from both the House and Senate side and there will be Capitol police to assist and direct. There will be a sign language interpreter for the event.

Speakers include House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, Representatives James Sensenbrenner and Jerrold Nadler, Senators Tom Harkin and Orrin Hatch, and former Representative Tony Coelho.

    Excellent!! Hope Presdient Bush will sign 2008 ADA Admendment… Give our rights back!
