Hello this is Kelby Brick from the National Association of the Deaf (NAD). I wanted to let you know that the action videos from the last two weeks resulted in many comments filed with the government. Many officials were very surprised at the volume of filings from consumers like you. They did not expect that. I was very impressed and I applaud you for your activism. I appreciate what you have done. Thank you for making a difference!
If you haven’t taken action, it is not too late! You can still file comments. It’s easy to file comments on the two important issues.
To file comments to make videophone numbers same as phone numbers, go to:

As many of you know, I am leaving the NAD. I will miss the NAD. I love the NAD. This is my last Eye on Washington (EOW) message. I am bidding you farewell. I am excited about the new job, challenges, and adventures and maybe a bit nervous as well. However, when I look back at the NAD, I am touched that I was able to be part of the NAD for a number of years. The NAD will always be a part of my heart.
I know that the NAD will remain strong. They have been around for 126 years and most of those without me. They will remain strong without me and I am merely a blip in the history of the NAD. I am not worried. The NAD will remain strong with your support.
I want to recognize 4 key individuals and groups.
1. My boss Nancy Bloch who was my mentor and taught me so much. She has helped me for many years. I’m very grateful to Nancy. If not for her, I wouldn’t be where I am.
2. NAD staff. They are very committed folks. They are dedicated with passion and are always rolling up their sleeves to work everyday, all day and night. They are the best staff anywhere I have seen. We need to thank NAD staff. Thank you NAD staff!
3. NAD Board for their involvement and leadership. This includes the NAD boards under former President Kent Kennedy, former president Andy Lange, and under the newly elected President Bobbie Beth Scoggins. Those three administrations did great work! Thank you.
4. The last group and the most important group are members and supporters like you. You have been very involved. You make the NAD strong. The NAD has done so much because of people like you. Thank you for making a difference. Now I will join your ranks as a regular member and active supporter. Like you, I will be a volunteer. The NAD will remain strong.
If you are not a member, grab this opportunity to join! Go to:
http://www.nad.org/join
If you are already a member, wonderful! What else can you do? You can donate to make the NAD even stronger. Go to:

Together, we can change the world!
Onwards and upwards!
Farewell!

Kelby, I had the pleasure of meeting you at NAD Conf. last month. At first impression you seem a bright, motivated, and capable person. But knowing your accomplishments through NAD, I can only imagine the special touch that NAD will miss. Best of luck in everything you will bring to your next professional frontier.

Thanks Kelby, and Thanks NAD, for your strong advocacy. I joined NAD, as a hearing person, over 30 years ago after working with Boyce Williams and Fred Schrieber. I learned some sign language through Terry J. O’Rourke’s and NAD’s Communicative Skills Program. Now, at age 63 I’ve been a binaural hearing aid user for more than 12 years. More and more I benefit from solutions NAD has helped develop from the captions I use on TV to travel help at airports and terminals. Thanks Kelby and thanks NAD.

Onward and upward you go! Mr. Kelby Brick,Congratulations on your recent professional promotion and continuing success. The year was 1876. Three days had passed since Alexander Graham Bell received the patent for a device that used electricity to transmit speech. Mr. Bell was working in his laboratory when he dropped acid from a battery on himself. He called to his assistant on a primitive telephone,”Mr. Kelby Brick. Come at once. I want you forever.”

Good Luck, Kiddo!!!

Mr.Brick, frank the frank, my honest expression of my eyes, I well deserve to comment my inadvertent pronouncement, “you are one of first deaf NAD director,” but I’d try to pronounce, “you are one of first deaf NAD lawyer director.” I’d found honesty and intergrity.
WHO’S WHO OF TOP DEAF LAWYERS 2006 should name Mr. Kelby Brick one of the top deaf leading Competition lawyer in the U.S.A. as soon as possible.

Kelby -
Deaf leaders like YOU never really leave NAD or our beloved Deaf Community. Leaders like YOU often take a well earned “vacation” to refine their focus, build back their energy, prepare their strategy for tomorrow and come back to lead again. The Deaf World is much too small for Leaders like You to hide. YOU can’t hide Kelby, you can only rest for a short time. See you back at NAD someday….soon. Your community needs Leaders like YOU. Go enjoy change in everyday routine. See you at next NAD conference though…
Onward through the fog ….
Respectfully,
Admirer

To All American Citizens:
I inadvertently clicked an error of (submit) button key when I’d try to provide the right name of Mr. Benjamin Franklin.
You should follow up (1706-1790) Mr. Benjamin Franklin’s quote advice, “Don’t put off until tommorrow what you can do to write” about your shared commendation for Mr. Kelby Brick’s great endeavour. (Try Worth It)!
Honesty is the best policy. Honesty Worth It!
